Schools, seminars to improve health in developing countries

Uganda classThe Community Heath Development (CHD) course is for those who want to see lasting change in the lives of families. It's about servant leadership and it's more than just theory. It's a journey into God's heart for hurting and broken people. Emphasis is not so much on knowledge gained as on principles applied.

Community Health Development is about transformation, and is for those who are committed to the long haul. CHD is a journey to discover not just the right answers, but the right questions: questions God will use to reveal Himself to a broken world as Jehovah Rapha and Shalom- God, our health, our wholeness.

Spirit Infused

Beyond the curriculum, the course is infused weekly with times of worship, intercession for focus nations and one another, and praxis times of reflection led by friends like Dean Sherman, David Boy and Steve Goode on what we're learning and how that applies to our calling. Students also meet weekly with staff both one-on-one and in small groups to practice the habits of transparent servant-leaders.

Uganda boatField Practicum - Getting our hands dirty!

An integral part of the CHD course is the 8-12 week practical field assignment. Often working with local health officials and government leaders in developing countries, students have opportunity to apply and test the principles and skills they have learned in the classroom. Students assess areas of need and help plan and launch new works by establishing health services and training programs. By modeling servant leadership, students disciple young leaders providing a foundation for local ministries to reach their communities. Past field assignments have worked in over 20 developing nations.
