Call2All - September DTS
A new generation of pioneers is being called to go to places where none have gone before, to establish the Kingdom of Christ in all the earth. God is causing a deep partnership between the mission and prayer movements of this hour. A partnership that is leading us into deep intimacy with Jesus enabling us to move in power and authority to reach the Every and the All. Will you be one of the “new breed”? Will you answer the call?
Over the past several years, Christian leaders and organizations from all over the world have joined together in an intentional way to work towards fulfilling the Great Commission. This is what the Call2all movement is all about. As a result, there are opportunities to transform nations and communities like never before. This Call2all DTS school is specifically designed to immerse students in practical and Biblical foundations of a life style of intimacy with Jesus while preparing you to reach this and future generations for Christ in new places through new methods.
DURING THE LECTURE PHASE
We will spend 12 weeks with world class speakers covering the usual DTS themes such as:
* The Character and Father Heart of God
* Cultivating Intimacy with Christ
* The power of prayer, informed intercession and hearing the voice of God
* The Cross, repentance, and the Spirit empowered life
* Living a powerful life of Worship
* Making Jesus Lord- The Supremacy of Christ
* Discovering and walking in your God-given identity and destiny
In addition, the Call2All DTS will explore what it means to “disciple a nation” as we reach into all 7 spheres of society (family, church, education, business, science & technology, government, & media/sports/entertainment) by implementing Call2All’s 7 themes:
1. Mapping the Great Commission
2. Accelerating Evangelism
3. Having a Church Presence in all spheres of society
4. Launching Oral Bible Teams and Reaching Oral Learners
5. Unengaged, Unreached People Groups
6. Mobilizing Prayer
7. Powerful Compassion
DURING THE OUTREACH PHASE
During the DTS outreach phase, you will be putting into practice all you have learned, taking the Gospel to places where people may have never heard the name of Jesus and participating in expanding God’s kingdom. This portion of the DTS is 2-3 months long and will take place in a variety of overseas locations. Outreach activities will include evangelism, mercy ministries, teaching, preaching, intercessory prayer, Church planting, and reaching out to present Jesus in a variety of other creative ways, which you’ll help to shape!
MEET THE SCHOOL LEADERS
Athol and Debbie Barnes have been involved in fulltime missions since 2004 and worked with a short-term missions’ organization before God called them to the Call2All Movement in January 2009. As a pastor’s son, Athol grew up in different cities and towns in South Africa and studied Mechanical Engineering in Cape Town. Debbie grew up in Johannesburg, and then the Eastern Cape Region of South Africa, before studying Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Port Elizabeth.
Athol and Debbie met in church and within a week of their first meeting, knew without a shadow of doubt that God had brought them together forever. They were married in Port Elizabeth, South Africa in March 1996, after a 1 month courtship and 4 month engagement!
God called Athol and Debbie to Atlanta in 2000 via a nursing contract for Debbie and provided Green Cards for both. After 2 years in the USA, God blessed this couple with a precious baby girl , Christie, via adoption, and again with their son, Joshua almost 5 years later.
God has given this family a passion to be completely abandoned to God’s will and purpose for their lives. To be able to work towards seeing the Great Commission fulfilled in their lifetimes. They love to teach and disciple others, and have a deep desire to share the love and Word of Jesus with those who have never heard the truth of the gospel.
Their greatest joy in life is to be able to involve their children, Christie and Joshua, in missions, and take great delight in watching them take such an active role in the Great Commission at the tender ages of 2 and 7.
